Open since 1739, the Café of the Round Table is the second oldest café in France after the Procope in Paris. Pewter counter, mirrors and chandeliers of the 18th ... the decor reflects the spirit of this place of tradition and conviviality.
Famous people have attended the institution which was at the time the appointment literary and artistic capital of the Dauphiné. Far from having lost its soul, this café sees passing, even today, comedians coming out of Grenoble Theatre situated just opposite.
